A friend of mine has just lost her mother. She lives out of state and I wanted to have some flowers delivered to her. I%26#039;ve read somewhere that Lilies were a good %26quot;sympathy flower,%26quot; does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you!

Lilies and roses are common funeral flowers. Don%26#039;t necessarily limit yourself to those though,other cheery flowers may also be nice for your friend. Roses, though they are my personal favorite, are a bit pricey, so lillies are probably a good bet.

Reply:Lillies are good and common. So are carnations. I would just go to a site like 1800flowers.com and find something nice in the price range I was looking for. Plants or food baskets are good, too.
